With great anticipation, Safta’s Table, the latest concept by James Beard award-winning chef Alon Shaya, is now open in Lakeview. “Safta,” translating to grandmother in Hebrew, is an ode to Chef Alon’s beloved matriarch. From breakfast sandwiches served on the same fluffy pitas as Saba to slow-cooked lamb dishes and delish weekend brunch options with local collabs, expect comforting and healthy Mediterranean-inspired foods in a relaxed setting for dine-in or takeout — there’s even a grab and go fridge. Add to it all beer, wine and cocktails.
