Whitney Fields is a Community Stylist with Kendra Scott. We asked her about her role in the brand’s new direct retail extension. Birthday girls, she’s offering a seriously festive discount.

What does it mean to be a Community Stylist for Kendra Scott?
A Community Stylist for Kendra Scott is a new direct retail extension to the brand, combining in-person and online shopping experiences! My role as a Community Stylist is to directly provide the same personalized service and styling experience to customers outside of the store, as well as introduce the brand to new customers. We can serve our customers through social media, community events, 1:1 styling, pop-up shops, and more.
How do you connect with customers?
I have a sample collection of jewelry, including everyday fashion, Color Bar, and demi-fine styles, that I can set up and showcase through community/vendor events and pop-up shops, by collaborating with local businesses or offices, or hosting private shopping events. Basically, it’s like bringing the store to you!
What do you love about Kendra Scott jewelry?
I love that while Kendra Scott has quite a few recognizable and classic silhouettes, there are multiple seasonal releases with new shapes, colorful stones, and unique designs in the core collection. She also collaborates with style influencers and brands, like Barbie™, pictured below! We just launched the Yellow Rose collection, which is more Southwest-inspired, and is perfect for ranchers and rodeo lovers!
Who is your dream client?
I have had the pleasure in my 13+ years of working in the jewelry industry of styling both local and national news anchors and reporters, celebrities, and women of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette shows, but my dream client is genuinely the “everyday, wear-it-her-way” woman. If jewelry brings you joy, you’re my kind of gal!
Your favorite pieces to wear?
The demi-fine collection is probably my favorite because it is .925 Sterling Silver and 18K gold vermeil, which is safe for wearing all the time and safe for the “S’s”– sun, sand, sweat, shower, or sleep! We just released a new collection of demi-fine styles, featuring the unique hexagon shape.

You are also a full-time PR/Media Relations Consultant. Tell us about
your background.
My Bachelor’s degree from UTSA is in Communications/Public Relations and my Master’s degree from UT is in Advertising/Nonprofit Studies. For over 15 years, I have worked in the marketing communications and PR/media relations industry for a luxury destination spa, entertainment, lifestyle, tech, beauty, and fashion brands, as well as supported entrepreneurs, start-ups, and small business owners as a publicist. Having a side business in jewelry/fashion sales has also allowed me to connect with media partners, brands, local businesses and more so it’s very synergistic! I was also a Stylist with Stitch Fix for 7 years so fashion is a passion of mine.
For my PR clients, I help with both traditional public relations and new media strategies to improve and maximize their visibility among their target audiences. I also serve as a publicist, assisting them with opportunities, thought leadership, speaking, and podcasts. Bestsellers right now?
As we approach the start of a new school year and a new season for sports, the Game Day collection is a hit! You can pick out new styles to represent your favorite team or school.
My customers are loving the Mabel necklace, which is a customizable style in the Color Bar. It has a unique bar station chain and a heptagon-shaped stone. With the Color Bar, you can pick out the metal of the necklace and the color of the stone for a unique piece.
One piece of jewelry every woman should own.
A go-to pair of hoops! From small, medium, or large sizes, to thick or thin widths, and a range of styles from solid metal to enamel or pave details! Size does not matter; from delicate huggies to statement hoops, this silhouette elevates any look.
First piece of Kendra Scott you ever bought.
My first piece of jewelry from Kendra Scott was a pair of customized earrings when she launched the Color Bar. I thought it was so cool that I could pick out the style, the metal, and the stones! I needed something to match a particular outfit so I created it.
Complete the sentence: Jewelry can make a woman feel ________.
Effortlessly chic! Jewelry seamlessly integrates into any woman’s wardrobe and reflects her individuality with confidence and grace. Jewelry is that finishing touch to your look – you’re beautiful with or without it, but it adds a level of sparkle and confidence to who you are on the outside. I am comfortable leaving the house without makeup, but I always have on a pair of earrings!
