HERE’S WHAT’S HAUTE

In preparation for our Fashion Farmers Market in Spring-Woodlands this Sunday, we sat down with Sara Oberton, the influencer behind Haute & Humid.

We’re excited to bring the Tidbits Fashion Farmers Market to Spring-Woodlands this Sun, Sept 25. Why is City Place a good location for the Tidbits Market?
I love the accessibility of City Place. When you are done shopping, pop into Common Bondand grab a latte and dessert to recharge.

You’re the Woodlands-based influencer behind Haute & Humid. What’s your favorite part about living in the area?
The Woodlands is very family focused. We also have great meet-up spaces like Cynthia Woods, The Waterway and Market Street.

With champagne in hand, shoppers will shop our market’s pop-ups from 30 female-owned local brands. Which vendors are you most excited to see?
It is hard to narrow down, but I am excited about Abner HatsPell 1990Saturday Silks and Independence Trading Post.

Our indoor market offers apparel, jewelry, art, decor, kids, gifts and more. What category is most dangerous for you?
Clothing and jewelry always get me!

We’re also hosting a fall floral arranging workshop this Sunday. Best part about autumn?
The crisp morning air, pumpkin spice candles, having a drink outside with friends and not sweating to death.

Our market will have boots, sweaters, blazers and leather. Your favorite trends for fall?
There are so many great trends this fall. My favorites are leather, wide leg pants and sherpa accessories

We have several brands offering gameday apparel and accessories. Who do you root for?
Whoop! Texas A&M every time. Class of ‘04.

Describe your personal style?
Classic and attainable.

Always in your handbag?
Sunglasses, portable phone charger and lip gloss.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner, where will we find you?
Breakfast: Toasted Yolk in East Shore. Lunch: Cava. And Dinner: Mastro’s. They have the best cocktails.

Three local businesses you love supporting?
East Shore Medspa and Salon, Fielding’s Local Kitchen and Pell 1990.

People would be surprised to learn this about you…
I am ambidextrous. My mom is left-handed so I learned how to do everything with my left hand even though I am right-hand dominant.
