Speaking of celebrations, you are the founder of Big Ass Balloons. What’s the best part of your job?
Aside from doing arts and crafts for a living, constantly meeting new people and seeing new places.
Tell us about launching Big Ass Balloons.
I graduated from UT Austin in 2009 with the dreams of continuing on to dental school. Then, things took a 180 when I saw these really big balloons in one of the Victoria’s Secret fashion shows. I looked up big balloons on Pinterest and realized we don’t have that around Houston!

The name speaks for itself 😉 I like big balloons and cannot lie.
Three tips for hosting an unforgettable event?
Great music, food and drinks.
Favorite new trends in balloons and balloon installations.
Incorporating lots of different textures like florals, streamers, metallics, etc.
Most memorable or unique event you’ve ever worked on.
Many of our large events are memorable, but we did just drop off a special elephant mosaic to a little boy and when he saw it, he said, “I’m SO HAPPY!” That just melted my heart.

Funniest mishap ever when installing balloons.
Too many but here are some: falling off stages, getting my car towed and falling into bushes.

I’m not a “Swiftie,” but if we could be part of the Eras Tour, I would die!
