We asked Elin Jackson and Lindsay Curtis, the owners of GOLDEN boutique who are hosting our spring soiree tomorrow night, about what’s trending for spring.
GOLDEN is all things positive✨ “You’re golden” and “stay golden” are expressions we have both always loved. Golden sunsets are also a favorite and did you know our G logo has a blue line that represents a water horizon, and the yellow top of the G represents a sunset?
You say GOLDEN is a conveniently-located fantasy closet. Why did you decide to open your boutique?
We noticed that friends in our area of Memorial 77024, 77056, 77079 were either ordering things online and frustrated with the fit or return process or driving 30 minutes away to the Galleria area and dealing with parking garages plus traffic madness. We wanted a drive-up boutique with a curated selection that women can try on in-person to find what fits best. We wanted to help style you, talk about fashion or family. We have accomplished this and it’s retail therapy at its best!

Tell us how your luxury retail backgrounds have contributed to your boutique’s success.
Our backgrounds from Saks and Neimans have instilled several things: high end customer service; how to clientele and remember clients’ favorite brands or wishes; strong vendor relationships and new brand awareness; pre-planned spacious merchandising; educating the client on current trends and classic styles; exciting event execution; maintaining a staff that everyone loves.

Three ways we could benefit from the help of professional styling.
If you look your best – you feel your best! Being styled and wearing something on point can really boost confidence at dinner parties, work or every day running around. A small styling tip (like where to alter your new denim around your ankle) can make a huge difference!
Best and worst thing about working with your best friend?
We can finish each other’s sentences. We have each other’s backs, and that trust is a huge part of our business success. We divide and conquer based on expertise. We travel easily and make important decisions quickly. The worst thing is that we frequently work apart – staying in our specialty roles front of house (Lindsay) and back of house (Elin) and are constantly ships passing in the night!
GOLDEN is light-filled and cheerful. What do you do when the shop is closed?
Take off shoes, turn up the music, try on outfits like we are in our own closet! It’s truly a second home 💛
