Lala's Land

At Lala's Gorditas, masa is stone-ground daily.

Some would describe you as indecisive.

Others would call you completely neurotic.

Those who labor over their menu choices will take comfort in the mix-and-match option at Lala's Gorditas, generating buzz for its handmade puffy tacos and other traditional staples. Named for the proprietor's grandmother, the brightly-colored stand on the South Side allows you to combine shredded chicken or ground beef and toppings like cabbage slaw so you dont have to commit to one type of taco. Other recipes that have been handed down from his family, which has long-lasting roots in the San Antonio restaurant scene, include classic guacamole cups and bean cups - head in for lunch or dinner and take your order to a colorful picnic table.

Now the only thing left to settle is what to wear.
