New Texas Wallpaper Brand: Habita

Austin artist Emily Wong launches a handpainted wallpaper collection.

You carried a heavy camera around your neck during your entire vacation, and didn't get home with a single photo suitable for framing.

Turn to Habita for your worldly memento instead. Texas graphic designer Emily Wong launched her much-anticipated wallpaper line last week. To create patterns like Copa, a line print inspired by a mural in Brazil, she starts with a gouache painting—a traditional method used in textile design—that becomes a matte design on clay-based paper sourced from sustainably managed forests. Mid-century design in Mexico, landscape architecture and other stylish inspo informs patterns that seem to move like Flock, pictured, Lapis and Moonflower in agave, mineral, blush sand, lake and other modern-girl hues.

Now the only thing you have to point and click is your remote.
