The Power of Porch Culture

See the Crescent City as captured by photo-documentarian Danielle Shubert.

You've been capturing your world one Instagram post at a time.

Check out photo-documentarian Danielle Shubert and her newly released coffee table book, The Porch Project: Porch Portraits of New Orleans. The inquisitive local (pictured below) patrolled the streets of New Orleans every day to accomplish a three-year visual project documenting the importance of contemporary porch culture and Creole lifestyle in the Crescent City. Along with quintessential imagery ranging from brightly colored shutters and family life to gals chatting next to brightly colored shutters, the page turner features a mix of everyday New Orleanians and notables like Deacon John.

It's NOLA life, unfiltered.
