Add a little joy to your life and be sure to catch Buckjumping, a new documentary about dance traditions in New Orleans. Directed by Lily Keber, the film follows six communities as they use dance as a form of expression to forge community bonds, commemorate their dead and find spiritual transcendence. Having first premiered at the 29th New Orleans Film Festival where it won the Audience Award for Best Louisiana Documentary Feature and the Best Cinematography Prize (Louisiana Feature), now is your chance to check out the spirited salute - details below.

Snag your tickets to view Buckjumping THIS Thursday, March 14, at 7 pm. at the Frida Lupin Memorial Hall at the NOCCA Institute. The screening will be followed by a conversation with director Lily Keber and the participants of the documentary. Bring cash for the bar before the film begins.
