Sip & Savor

December 19th, 2012

Snap. Crackle. POP.

Your sequin dress is hanging on your fridge (binge avoidance) and your makeup and hair appointments are set in stone. Here, the best hotspots for ringing in 2013 in style... You're on your own to find a midnight mister.

Andaz San Diego Hotel, pictured, keeps it poppin' with multiple venues and party pluses like DJs Drop The Lime and GRUM. Do it up right in the Ivy Nightclub, Ivy Wine Bar, the Ivy Studio and the sky high Ivy Rooftop which offers panoramic views. Expect to indulge in popular bottle service packages, party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets begin at $50. (Win tickets below.)

True North Tavern in North Park is celebrating 2013 with DJ Wonderbread who will be playing songs with videos on 25 widescreens throughout the venue. The festivities include a midnight ball drop with bubbly. Cover charges start at $10 at 9 p.m. and increase every hour.

In the Gaslamp, check out the Barleymash Goes Gold Party with DJ music all night. Champagne will be toasted when midnight strikes and bottle service reservations are available. Pre-sale tickets are $25.

Dance the night away to DJs in both venues, Hotel Indigo/Level 9, while indulging in an open bar and appetizer station. Cost to attend is $95 per person and $180 per couple.

With multiple rooms for celebration, New Year’s Eve at the Onyx in the Gaslamp will be like three fab parties in one. The party rages from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., and there promises to be a festive midnight balloon drop. Admission is $30.

The annual New Year’s Eve Masquerade Bash at The Air Conditioned Lounge in University Heights features complimentary masks provided at the door. Buy your $30 tickets ASAP - the party has sold out three years in a row for a free vodka shot, music by DJ Junior, a champagne toast and party favors.

All dressed up and no place to go? Leave a comment below telling us about your fab NYE outfit for a chance to win two tickets to the Andaz San Diego's bash ($100 value).
