Youth or Dare?

You just might meet the country's next top chef at the CIA's newest dining destination.

312 Pearl Parkway, Ste. 2104
San Antonio

Judging from the "edible" play dough you brought home from elementary school and the ratty thing supposed to be used as a pot holder, your mom never placed any bets on your grown-up culinary skills.

Leave educational cooking to the pros at the CIA San Antonio campus' first official teaching restaurant, NAO. At the most recent addition to the Pearl Brewery culinary scene, the feisty New World food is offered in a menu broken into Chilled, Warm and Main. The tapas-style cuisine, served amongst a modern backdrop and cedar ceiling planks from the Hill Country, is prepared primarily by students in the process of earning their Latin Cuisine Certificate under head chef Geronimo Lopez, so you know the heat is on to impress with their culinary prowess. From yucca fritters stuffed with duck confit to char grilled octopus with potato dumplings, the unique dishes are risk rich in reward.

Get prepared to be summer schooled.

Still in the soft opening phase through the end of the month, NAO is offering a $24 three-course meal as they work to perfect their menu.
