6 Frozen Treats To Try This Summer

Get your hands on these frozen sweets.

Lately every time someone uses the word frozen, "Let it Go" comes screaming into your head like a melodic brain freeze. No need to have a meltdown - we've created a list of San Antonio's tastiest cold treats for beating the brutal summertime heat

Sub Zero Ice Cream & Yogurt
This uber-fresh ice cream shop uses liquid nitrogen for an instant freeze. Raspberry lemonade is July's flavor of the month - get it while it lasts.

Las Nieves Fruit Cups
Combining old school favorites like banana splits and malts with Mexican-inspired sweets such as tamarind shaved ice, this SA confectionery has something for everyone. Grab a raspa with ice cream for the best of both worlds.

Brindles Awesome Ice Creams
Mixing sweet and savory flavors is Brindles' calling card. We pump up our weekdays with The Kick, which includes coconut, mint, pineapple and habanero, or stick to the classic ice cream taco sundae (pictured).

Sweet Cece's Frozen Yogurt and Treats
Most of the treats at Cece's are gluten free, and you can choose between non-fat, low-fat, no sugar added, non-dairy and Greek yogurt. We think the Fredericksburg Peach is to die for.

SA Pops
While known for its paletas, this sweet spot also serves artisan ice cream pops, soft serve ice cream and fresh shaved ice. Our preferred way to indulge is with a dipped pop: think pistachio gelato coated in Belgian chocolate and covered with pistachios.

Amy's Ice Creams
You can't go wrong with Mexican Vanilla or Sweet Cream, staples from this Austin-based fave. But did you know they have a rotating list of boozy flavors too? Our picks are Bananas Foster and Mudslide.
