So Fresca So Clean

Switch up your lemonade style with some traditional Mexican fruit water.

You can't help but pull over every time you see a lemonade stand. But those '09 kids have totally priced you out at $2 a cup, and no matter how many mini juice mixers you meet, you can't seem to quench your thirst for seriously fresh squeezed. Here, our list of another summertime sip. We've found some of the best aguas frescas (authentic Mexico-inspired flavored water) in town to get you through the dog days...

La Gloria serves up some killer aguas frescas to accompany their extremely authentic and tasty Mexican street food. The guava and fresa (strawberry) come in at close tie, but either one is a perfect chiller for their outdoor patio.

Los Cocos Fruteria y Taqueria is a hidden gem worth seeking out - not only is their cantaloupe agua fresca the picture of perfection, but their fruit cups with limon and chile are also amazingly delicious.

While Beto's is best known for their homemade empanadas and tacos, and was even featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, their aguas frescas are a well-kept secret worth testing out.

Los Valles Produce is our pick for the best in town. This fruteria is the closest to true aguas frescas you're going to find this side of the border. Be sure to try the sandia!

While you're waiting for a table at Mi Tierra, stroll through El Mercado for a bit of true Mexican culture and one of the best aguas frescas in the city.
