Jardin of Eaten

Perched by the river in a serene setting, Café des Artistes at the San Antonio Museum of Art sets out to show masterpieces outside the museum walls.

Considering there is a country that made air-kisses cool and cigarettes seem romantic, you'd think we'd all be using our frequent flyer miles to travel regularly to France. If you haven't the time for a rendezvous, you can pay an international tribute locally by visiting the brand new restaurant at the San Antonio Museum of Art.

Perched by the river in a serene setting, Café des Artistes – from the owners of Ciao Lavanderia and Bistro Vatel – sets out to show masterpieces outside the museum walls. Sample French-inspired paninis, quiche, crepes, salads and seafood, or opt for fresh European-style pastries like the heavenly ones found at Bistro Bakery.

Put out that candy cigarette, pucker your lips and book a one-way ticket to your new favorite garden chateau.
