Eat Like a Bird

With work, bar(re) and Scandal-watching schedules, you and your gals haven't been able to coordinate anything more than a group text.

That is, unless it's for a trip to Bird Bakery, where we're giving away a decadent lunch for four (see below). The adorably decorated shop owned by Elizabeth Chambers - journalist, entrepreneur, SA native and UT alum - is not just for sweets. The petite spot sells a variety of sandwiches and snacks just like Mom used to make. Swing in for a nostalgic grilled cheese (elevated with brioche bread) or a California turkey with local raspberry chipotle mayo, made from scratch daily. Our mid-day pref: PB&JJ with local jalapeño blackberry jam.

A meal even Olivia Pope would make time to eat.
