Indulge your foodie fantasies further with the 10th season of The Next Food Network Starstarting this Sunday, June 1 - San Antonio's own Luca Della Casa is a contestant. Executive chef at Nosh and Silo restaurants, the rising star came to the states 10 years ago from Northern Italy with a handful of family recipes from his grandma's kitchen. We caught up with the hunk to find out the spice of his SA life.

First dish you ever mastered? 
My grandmother's tiramisu.
When the kitchen closes, you'll find me drinking a...
Belgian style beer.
Dish that makes your wife melt every time? 
Gnocchi with fresh tomato sauce and a glass of chardonnay after a long day at the office.
Which ingredient(s) describe the San Antonio culture and why?  
I think of avocado used to make a fresh guacamole.
Go-to late night munchies? 
Chocolate-dipped banana slices from Trader Joe's.
A meal your wife makes better than you?  
None because she has never cooked a day in her life!
