NOPSI Appreciation Day I Thursday, Nov 9, 7:30 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Celebrate the 90th anniversary of the building that is home to the newly opened NOPSI Hotel. Festivities feature 1,000 complimentary streetcar rides and a nostalgic menu at the in-house Public Service restaurant, including select bites priced at 90 cents. 
 
Bayou Road Balloon Festival I Friday, Nov 10 - Sunday, Nov 12 
Go up, up and away when 15 hot air balloons land at Sidney D. Torres Memorial Park for short ticketed rides. Also on tap: music, carnival rides, local food and beer and a "night glow" from the balloons. Grab your tickets ASAP.
 
Everything Now by Kurt Pio I Saturday, Nov 11, 5 - 8 p.m.
Gawk over the new collection, pictured, from South African artist Kurt Pio during a champagne reception at Gallery Orange in the French Quarter. 
 
One Year Anniversary of the Scene By Rhys Art Gallery I Saturday, Nov 11, 7 - 9 p.m. & Sunday, Nov 12, 6 - 8:30 p.m.
Pop by the gallery for eats and sips while artist Emilie Rhys performs live drawings both evenings of the two bands. Night one is The Next Generation Featuring Christien Bold and the following night features Tuba Skinny.

Poppy’s Pop-Up Drag BrunchSunday, Nov 12, 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. 
Snag tickets for a three-course brunch with bottomless mimosas at Toups South hosted by New Orleanian and culinary activist Poppy Tooker. Tickets are $50 and a portion of the proceeds goes to CrescentCare's Food for Friends.
