Sip & Savor
Take The Longway Home
Ever tried a Chartreuse Colada? Tip one back at Longway Tavern, now open in the Quarter.

You typically come to the Quarter for Carousel rides and to put the gal in Galatoire's during liquid lunches on Fridays.
There's a new kid in town that's the talk of Toulouse Street - Longway Tavern. The quaint and casual spot is outfitted with custom, hand-painted wall stenciling inspired by vintage belt buckles - Sylvia T Designs created the look as a nod to the space's previous life as a leather shop and tannery. Wood tables with seafoam green bases make for an ideal locale for a boozy drink and a bite. Belly up to the bar for a crushed ice cocktail - the black and white swizel straws are reserved for these sips. While charging your phone in the courtesy outlets, nibble on radishes in goat butter topped with caviar or a few spoons of salmon confit with cucumber, fennel yogurt and dill that you'll order by way of a paper menu with a tiny pencil. An additional draw is the bricked courtyard, the perfect locale for a nightcap and recap.
It's your new excuse to Vieux Carré.
