Where To Peony at NOWFE

It's a secret garden. Dine under paper blooms in a greenhouse-inspired pop-up at the New Orleans Wine & Food Experience.

At most NOLA food fests, you've perfected the art of balancing bites, booze and business cards while attempting not to spill bechamel on your blouse.

Avoid the tallboy tables and instead pay a visit to Bloombox, a Scandinavian cafe-inspired "greenhouse" popping up during the New Orleans Wine and Food Experience. Tickets to the Grand Tasting at Mardi Gras World NEXT Saturday, May 27, will grant you access into the rustic glass structure, sourced from Louisiana. Expect an artful explosion of hand-crafted paper flowers, outdoor swings and reclaimed wood tables where you can take the food and drinks you've collected throughout the event for the ultimate in a VIP-style lounge. Interior designer Gin Braverman of Gin Design Group conceived the concept - you can see her design work locally at Magasin Cafe. Her next project is John Besh's first restaurant in Houston, Eunice.

It'll be a room with a bloom.

Looking for a way to work off all of the decadent food and drinks you'll be partaking in at NOWFE? Hit Bounce Ya Brass next Saturday, May 27, from 10 a.m. - noon. Hosted by LifewayMove Ya Brass founder Robin Barnes and fitness instructor Shanda Domango, the free workout teaches the signature NOLA bounce moves, with a cool down session from the Soul Brass Band. Sample healthy bites and sips while checking out the latest in workout wear courtesy of Lululemon.
