Sip & Savor

Four Score And Seven Beers Ago

As thirsty Nashvillians, it is our city-living right to honor the pursuit of hydration.

Spend your upcoming Labor Day weekend at East Nashville's new brewery, Fat Bottom Girls, where you can reap the liquid bennies from a variety of bodied ales ranging from light to dark. Hidden in the old Fluffo Mattress factory, the brewery boasts an open entryway with a beautiful raw-wooded taproom and an outdoor beer garden large enough to serve as an event venue. Owner Ben Bredesen, son of former Governor Bill Bredesen, named each of his unfiltered launch beers after women with sexy curves - the Ginger, Black Betty, Bertha, Java Jane and Ruby Red were the five brews served at last week's grand opening.

Pledge allegiance to the pint.
