Blog To Watch: Wild Ruffle

Your daily style reports and favorite blogs bookmarked on your laptop are organized by alphabetical order, city and genre. Time to fit one more on the list. Meet Cate Mezyk (pictured), the local blogger behind Wild Ruffle. From her DIY inspiration like the fishtail braid, features on handmade and locally made products and knack for designing jewelry, her site is one of our faves.
My favorite local boutique:
The Vintage Gypsy, a charming little boutique filled with vintage home decor and brand new clothing with a vintage feel. If I'm shopping outside Prior Lake, then PrimpApricot Lane and Prime and Polish are must sees on my list.
Fashion event I don't want to miss:
Arena Bikini, a fundraiser for ARENA Dances. It's a super fun combo of dance and swimwear fashion. And, I host twice yearly shopping events in Prior Lake, where boutiques without brick and mortar locations can gather together and create a one day only Pop Up Shop. The next one is scheduled for November 9, and it's going to be better than ever!
Best people watching:
Lake Calhoun or Lake Harriet. A walk around either provides some of the best variety midwesterners have to offer. If I can't get to the lakes, my local Prior Lake farmer's market is another prime spot - nearly the entire town seems to show up each Saturday morning!
