Butter From Another Mother

Hey soul food sister.

The Buttered Tin
237 7th Street East
St Paul

The time you tried to make cookies from scratch for your brother’s birthday, you forgot the margarine and ended up with a bowl of sad little dough bits.

Redeem yourself by rounding up the troops and indulging in some “eats and sweets” at The Buttered Tin, a newly opened cafe in St. Paul’s Lowertown. The cheery neighborhood eatery is the creation of two gal pals (one won Food Network's Cupcake Wars) sharing the vision to have friends and family regularly gather around a table together to enjoy good company and even better food. Must haves include white cheddar and crème fraîche biscuits and a breakfast hash featuring smoked trout, poached organic eggs and horseradish chive cream. Custom cakes, pies and other treats are also available for special order.

No wonder you're now in charge of bringing the cups and napkins to fam fiestas.
