British Royalty at America's Mall

Your royalty crush began years ago, when a young style icon named Diana stole your heart.

Forget Wills and Kate.

Your royalty crush began years ago, when a style icon named Diana stole your heart and left you with a life-long affection for powder blue. Pay tribute to the princess at Mall of America, where her resplendent 1981 wedding dress was just unveiled. Marvel at the 25-foot train (the longest in Royalty history), 10,000 sequins, and even the gold suede-soled shoes she wore during her procession.

Starting today, local romantics like Allison Kaplan of AliShops blog are paying homage to the once-in-a-lifetime exhibit by putting their own wedding day frocks on display. There's also a replica of Di's wedding cake from a decorating contest where Byerly's nabbed top prize.

Also spotted throughout the nine galleries: two twinkling tiaras, childhood photos and toys, a prayer book gifted by Mother Teresa, home movies and 28 designer dresses.

Here comes the _style_.
