Museum Notes: Texas Design Now

Artists from Austin, Dallas, Houston, Marfa, San Antonio and Wimberley make up CAMH's stylish new exhibition.

Texas Design Now @ CAMH
Through November 29
5216 Montrose Blvd.
Rather than investing in throw pillows, you prefer to cover the settee in your bedroom with handbags, assorted by color.
Get inspired to update your abode at Texas Design Now, new at the Contemporary Arts Museum. The exhibit, guest curated by Houston influencers with backgrounds at Tootsies and Kuhl-Linscomb, is a showcase of boundary-pushing Texas art, furniture, interiors, fashion, accessories and more. Stroll the free exhibit to view paintings mixed with pretty-as-art vintage men's shirts, rhinestone-encrusted boots, handbags, rugs, chairs, and purses and scarves displayed like works of art. Nothing is for sale, but you'll leave with ideas from some of the state's hottest young talents.
Approved by your home decorator: Roy G. Biv.

Meet some of the artists on Saturday, September 26, at 2 p.m. when CAMH hosts Kate de Para, Angel Oloshove and Alyce Santoro for an artist's discussion.
