A Room With A Moo

Meet Melinda Buie, an artist who names the cows that she paints.

Who cares about walls that talk when you can make them scream.

Artist Melinda Buie, a UT grad, paints the Lone Star State in technicolor. She gives each of the cows depicted in her large-scale works names like Oscar, Olivia, Henry and Maureen and places them in landscapes we want to move to: mint green, electric purple, hot pink, vivid teal and sunflower yellow. Her work is inspired by her upbringing in East Texas. The Frenchie, the brand new luxury guest houses in Round Top, pictured below, are decorated with her vibrant art.

The cow jumped over the swoon.
