Sip & Savor

It's Their Churn

Ice cream with a bark is as big as your bite.

You eat egg whites for breakfast, kale chips for lunch and dinner from a blender. But, when it's time for dessert, frozen berries aren't going to fool your experienced sweet tooth.

Earn your calories where it counts and turn to the churn of local flavor from Carnival Barker’s Ice Cream, handmade in Deep Ellum by foodies Aaron Barker and Sarah Miller. The duo promises their goods have “no BS" - the creamy menu features inventive flavors like peanut butter with chocolate-covered potato chips and the organic Fat Elvis, and their Facebook page teases they're experimenting with craft beer and coffee concepts. A retail store in the Lower Greenville food truck park will open next month.

Your food diary just got a pint-sized makeover.

Available at retailers and restaurants like Bolsa Mercado, Green Grocer, Sissy's Southern Kitchen & Bar, The Granada Theater and Jimmy’s Food Store.
