Bittersweet, Party Of One

We caught up with Trailercakes, the food truck that expanded to brick-and-mortar just in time for Cupid's big day.

3001 Knox St.
Suite 101

Girls with your skills are a good catch. Are you two single or taken?
Heather, CFO (Chief Frosting Officer): Single.
Leora, CCO (Chief Cake Officer): Not.

What's the best breakup dessert?
Forget the cupcakes and go straight for the sheet cake. The entire thing.

Trailercakes' best flavor to get through a lonely Valentine's Day?
Our "slap your mama" chocolate cake. Just change the name to "slap your ex."

Cupcake etiquette: hands or a fork?
Depends on who's watching!

Most inventive cupcake flavor you've ever made?
That’s kind of a tough one... our Peanut Butter & Jelly cupcake.

Baking secrets you're willing to share?
Love + science. Might sound cheesy, but it's true. You must love what you are doing for it to turn out right. And, baking is science. Exact measurements are key. All ingredients should be at room temperature.

Mention Dallas Tidbits at the new Trailercakes Knox St. boutique for a free mini cupcake February 15-18. (Once per reader.)
