From A to Zanny

Sketches turned handwoven textiles by local artist Zanny Cox.

You finally decided on the perfect Clare paint color for your living room—Rosé Season, of course. Now it's time to decorate.

Make your first purchase a handwoven textile from Zanny Cox. The ATX-based maker uses materials like driftwood, vintage wool, hemp, bamboo and chicken feathers to create pieces that make for eye-catching decor. Her sketches turned textiles are headed to the new location of vintage boutique Laced With Romance, but in the meantime you can check out her work in person at divine new co-working space, The Commune, during the West Austin Studio Tour THIS weekend—details below. Prefer your fiber art as fashion? Miranda Bennett carries Zanny's woven hat bands, and her woven jewelry is inspired by the tapestries.

It'll be wall to wall excitement.

Check out Zanny's work along with six other artists during WEST at The Commune THIS Sat, May 18, and Sun, May 19, from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Enjoy sips, bites and a weave demo from Zanny.
