Skinny Girl Sips

We've got a couple of locally concocted cocktail recipes to help you beat the heat a bit (or at least rock you into a false sense of loopy happiness).

It's not even officially summer and already you're whining about the overwhelming heat. You better zip it, ladies...there are a lot more sweaty days on the horizon, but we've got a couple of locally concocted cocktail recipes to help you beat the heat a bit (or at least rock you into a false sense of loopy happiness). Cheers!

Cocktail 1: The Tidbitini.

Newly opened bar, /pages/Townhouse/115071645192604" target="_blank">Townhouse, is already turning heads _and_ turning drinks upside down for a quick and happy finish. 30 different infused liquors, homemade rootbeer, a small menu of locally sourced fare like locally smoked venison carpaccio with cracked pepper and truffle oil...and a drink in honor of Tidbits. Ask for one during your next happy hour (only $5!) or shake one up for yourself.

Cocktail 2: The Skinny Dip

You love sweet tea. You love vodka. Allow us to introduce you to the best of both worlds with the newly launched Deep Eddy Sweet Tea Vodka, the first flavored vodka ever developed in TX. This stuff is made of 100% pure cane sugar from Sugarland, clover honey from Austin's Good Flow Honey Co., and 10 times distilled vodka. Deep Eddy Sweet Tea Vodka is available for purchase at Specs and Twin Liquors for $20.99 per 750 ml bottle.

Cocktail 3: The Bikinitini

Fleming's has just launched a brand new calorie-conscious cocktail on their fab drink menu. The Bikinitini is less than 100 calories--which means you can have as many as your tolerance will allow. While sipping, sample their new fantastically priced "5 for 6 'til 7" happy hour menu.
