Found: Farm Fresh Feast

Getting back to your roots.

The idea of eating on a farm may not instantly qualify as a romantic date.  

But trust us: lazy grass-munching cows will not be the maître d's, nor will the smell of eau de manure greet you at the gate of Eden East, the new end-of-week concept restaurant on the East Austin urban veggie oasis that is Springdale Farm. Celebrated chef Sonya Coté of Hillside Farmacy and East Side Showroom fame comes by to map out a menu dependent on what's growin' that week, then serves it up to a limited RSVP-only list. Picture long wooden picnic tables under towering pecan trees dripping with lights and crystals while dish upon plate upon wine glass (BYOB) greets you at your seat. Enamored with what you eat? This farm sells produce from their on-site farmstand every Wednesday and Saturday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Just maybe leave your heels at home.
