Tickets To The Gunshow

Glenwood Park's new Kevin Gillespie resto has foodies lining up.

Your glass of house red took 20 minutes to deliver tableside and your waitress seems more concerned with dipping her cleavage over the bar to flirt with the mixologist than ensuring that your orders get to the kitchen. Your eating out experience is in drastic need of a makeover.

Enter Gunshow. Celeb chef Kevin Gillespie (of Top Chef fame, not to mention ATL's Woodfire Grill) is inviting a new twist on the old eatery with his Glenwood Park concept. Looking to declutter the pretention behind high brow restaurants, he pulled from traditional dim-sum-style food carts and a classic churrascaria, where servers parade food between tables while you point and partake in what you please. Even the menu helps break down some of the fine dining flaunt with a drink list that reads in basics like "red wine #1" and "beer #3".

Feast with innovation, not frustration.

Want a memento to take home after your meal? Gillespie's grandfather's homemade cutting boards sell for $80, and an autographed copy of his newest cookbook, Fire In My Belly, can be purchased for $40.
